Gladys Nyoth

Born in Paris to Cameroonian parents, Gladys Nyoth came to Los Angeles at age 15 to continue her education in physics and begin an acting career, hoping to pave a new way for herself and her family.

The obstacles she encountered reshaped that vision and strengthened her commitment to making a difference within the African diaspora. In 2013, Gladys invested in a restaurant concept that brought her back to that central purpose: advocating for Africa while promoting love and unity through food.

Her Dinner Club menu celebrated the breadth of African cooking, from West African beignets and harira to kelewele, Cameroonian mbongo, Senegalese mafé, and a savory phyllo pie infused with ras el hanout.
